Christopher J. Harvey holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kansas, with certificates in Cybersecurity and Data Science. He has worked in data science and artificial intelligence for more than a decade and currently develops predictive and diagnostic AI models and software tools for cardiac electrophysiology research within a major research hospital system. His technical work focuses on applying machine learning, large-scale clinical data, and physiological signal analysis to problems in cardiovascular medicine.
Outside of his scientific work, Christopher is the founder of Defending A Lion, a Christian apologetics and Bible teaching ministry dedicated to helping Christians understand, articulate, and defend their faith. His work includes in-depth biblical teaching, apologetics, polemics, and interfaith dialogue with Muslims, atheists, Hindus, Jews, and others. His independent research spans history, theology, philosophy, comparative religion, science, and archaeology, with a particular interest in the historical development and transmission of religious traditions.
Christopher is the author of The Talmudic Dilemma: How Jewish Folklore Exposes the Qur’an’s Origins, a study of the Qur’an’s relationship to earlier Jewish, Christian, rabbinic, and late-antique traditions. His background is unusually broad, having also worked as a carpenter, artist, chef, researcher, data scientist, and front-end developer. Across both his scientific and theological work, his focus is on careful analysis, primary evidence, and making complex subjects understandable to a wider audience.
